Hope
Education & Leadership Fund is established in the
United
States as a Public
Charity non-profit organization in the year 2004.
Healfund has applied for the non-profit exemption status, Sec
501(c) (3) to IRS and and in the state of California.
Hope Education and Leadership Fund (Healfund) was established
with the following mission.
MISSION:
1. To
alleviate poverty through:
- Basic Education/ Computer
Literacy
- Provide Occupational Skills/ Provide Employment and/or
Income generation
- Economic Empowerment of
Women
- Non-formal LITERACY-CUM-LIFE
education for high school dropouts
- Sponsoring students to pay for
their books, uniforms, tuition and examination fee
assistance
2.
To provide financial assistance/ sponsor
projects for schools run for mentally handicapped, physically
disabled and hearing impaired children around the world.
3.
Provide fair remuneration and training for
teachers in the sponsored schools. By providing adequate training to
teachers, the quality of teaching will improve. Providing fair
remuneration helps teacher retention
4.
Undertake any special projects that will
support the Mission of
Healfund.
GOAL FOR 2006:
- To
establishing in Chennai, India
as Hope Education Leadership Fund and to Registered Under the
Indian Trust Act (Sec
80-G) by March, 2006
- To
obtain the Non-profit exemption Section 501 ( C ) (3)
- To
obtain the CA state non-profit
exemption
